Poetic Injustice

This piece was originally written by me for a friend of mine, "Big Head" Mark.
He was going through a very difficult break-up with his woman and he was
having a tough time dealing with not seeing his only child.
It was written with the intention of meaning different things at different times.

"A Distant Lullaby"

Good night, sleep tight
I could be wrong but I,
just may be right.

I'm here, and your there,
I want you to know how much,
I really care.

Sometimes I lie awake,
Not sure which road to take,
Embattled between memories and lies.
My only regret,
is what little time we get,
to laugh and share each other's lives.

Moon beams, sweet dreams,
things aren't always,
what they seem.

Teary Eye, lullaby,
I'll always be there' ( for you )
and now you know why,
and now you know why.
